When Giants Walked the Earth

In “When Giants Walked the Earth,” I was inspired by the final sequence of the classic ‘Jurassic Park’ film to capture a tense moment just before the Tyrannosaurus Rex releases its mighty roar. The scene is charged with impending adventure as the raptors in the background are on the verge of confronting the Rex.

I deliberately used neon purples to push the raptors into the background, creating depth and directing attention towards the Rex. This color choice not only serves a functional purpose but also provides a playful nod to the promotional posters for the sequel, which share a similar color palette to my usual style.

The composition is my homage to a classic film, evoking a sense of nostalgia while simultaneously offering a fresh perspective. The bold use of color and dynamic positioning of the creatures combine to create an image that is both adventurous and reverential.

Pearl Linen Postcard - This 3.5"x5" postcard is printed on linen, creating a almost canvas appearance. Between the linen weaves are pearlescent clusters, which increase the contrast of the art.

Holographic Poster - Printed on 8.5"x11" heavy duty card stock, these posters are dipped in holographic foil prior to printing. This enhances all of the darker tones in each painting (especially the line art), bringing subtle shards of iridescent colors when hit with direct light.
