In “Neon Electric Awakening,” I wanted to encapsulate a moment charged with electric energy, as Thor prepares to unleash the power of his hammer. This scene is particularly inspired by the promotional posters from “Thor: The Dark World,” and aims to bring the dynamism and intensity of a comic book to life. As I painted, I imagined Thor’s eyes aflame with a fierce determination, fixed on his unseen opponent, Malekith.
Selecting the palette was crucial to conveying the energy I envisioned. I chose neon blues to represent the lightning crackling around Thor’s hammer, set against a deep blue background. This not only accentuated the electric energy of the scene, but also highlighted the stark opposition between Thor and the dark forces he faces.
Creating “Neon Electric Awakening” was a journey into the heart of a narrative. Though Malekith is not depicted, the confrontation is implied, and I hope viewers can feel the intensity of Thor’s determination and the impending clash.
