My color choices were deliberate. I used yellows and oranges to illuminate Arcanine’s fiery nature, while the deep blacks offered a contrast, highlighting the creature’s formidable form. But it’s the traces of blue and purple within the flames that I’m particularly proud of. These colors, though unexpected in a typical fire, serve to emphasize the raw power and intensity of Arcanine’s aura.
Growing up with the Pokemon universe, I knew of Arcanine’s unmatched speed and its ability to emit potent flames. And while these attributes are documented in the Pokedex, I wanted this painting to go beyond that. I aimed to convey the spirit of Arcanine, not just its physical prowess, and I hope that’s what viewers see when they look at this piece.

Pearl Linen Postcard - This 3.5"x5" postcard is printed on linen, creating a almost canvas appearance. Between the linen weaves are pearlescent clusters, which increase the contrast of the art.
Holographic Poster - Printed on 8.5"x11" heavy duty card stock, these posters are dipped in holographic foil prior to printing. This enhances all of the darker tones in each painting (especially the line art), bringing subtle shards of iridescent colors when hit with direct light.
