I was drawn to capture a singular moment in the life of Pochita, the demon dog known for its juxtaposition of cuteness and inherent danger. This piece is a snapshot, one that peels back the layers of Pochita's usual frenetic energy to reveal a peaceful stillness.
It was important to me that those who gazed upon Pochita's portrait felt welcomed, almost as if they could step into a world where even a chainsaw-wielding creature has its moments of repose. I paid special attention to the eyes, ensuring they shimmered with life, reflecting the light of a setting that, while not overtly detailed, provides a harmonious backdrop to the figure's central presence.
In composing this close-up, I hoped to invite onlookers into Pochita's space, to allow for an intimate encounter that might otherwise be impossible. The choice to keep the background subdued was a deliberate one, aiming to keep the focus firmly on our charming subject.

Pearl Linen Postcard - This 3.5"x5" postcard is printed on linen, creating a almost canvas appearance. Between the linen weaves are pearlescent clusters, which increase the contrast of the art.
Holographic Poster - Printed on 8.5"x11" heavy duty card stock, these posters are dipped in holographic foil prior to printing. This enhances all of the darker tones in each painting (especially the line art), bringing subtle shards of iridescent colors when hit with direct light.
