• When art is downloaded and printed without compensation to the artist, it significantly impacts the artist's ability to make a living as a creator.

We can try, but we can't stop anyone from doing this if they really wanted to.

It's important to really think about what this means - if it becomes a normal practice for everyone, artists won't be able to afford to continue creating art.

Gothic Vigil in Solitude

Gothic Vigil in Solitude

I found myself immersed in the quiet intensity of this moment. I envisioned a scene where the guardian of Gotham stands, not in the stark contrast of harsh spotlights, but in the soft, diffuse glow of a city held in a delicate balance. His cowl and gloves, the armor of his crusade, leave only the mouth and jaw exposed—a glimpse of the humanity residing within the symbol.

In this piece, I focused on the hues of twilight that cloak the city, choosing purples and crimsons to envelop the figure in the colors of the evening sky. These colors are not just a backdrop but a part of his narrative, as if the city's heartbeat is synchronized with his presence. (It is also a nod to the NES Batman Game!)

The detail on his belt, each pouch carefully placed, is a visual whisper of his readiness, yet he is always calm. His stance is firm, his body language speaks of a readiness that comes from both training and an innate sense of duty.

In creating this work, I sought to convey a sense of dedication—a moment of solitude that is both powerful and peaceful. This painting is my tribute to the silent promise between the protector and the protected, a moment shared between the night and its quiet sentinel.
