When I painted K-2SO, I was deeply inspired by the interplay of identity and change. I envisioned him standing against a universe alive with energy, and I wanted to translate that vibrant force into the canvas. The vivid hues of purples, golds, and shades of green surrounded him, creating a sense of movement and life.
K-2SO's eyes were especially dear to me. Through them, I hoped to convey a depth of understanding, a quiet sentience. His polished, reflective surface starkly contrasted with the swirling colors, and that contrast was intentional. It was a visual representation of his story—once aligned with the Empire, but later finding a new purpose and direction with the rebels.
Each digital brush stroke, especially in the backdrop, was applied with an intent to evoke emotion. While the background feels organic, K-2SO is detailed and precise, creating an exciting dynamic within the painting.
As I worked on this piece, I felt connected to K-2SO's journey. I thought of his transformation, the choices he made, and the vibrant tapestry of experiences that molded him.

Pearl Linen Postcard - This 3.5"x5" postcard is printed on linen, creating a almost canvas appearance. Between the linen weaves are pearlescent clusters, which increase the contrast of the art.
Holographic Poster - Printed on 8.5"x11" heavy duty card stock, these posters are dipped in holographic foil prior to printing. This enhances all of the darker tones in each painting (especially the line art), bringing subtle shards of iridescent colors when hit with direct light.
