• When art is downloaded and printed without compensation to the artist, it significantly impacts the artist's ability to make a living as a creator.

We can try, but we can't stop anyone from doing this if they really wanted to.

It's important to really think about what this means - if it becomes a normal practice for everyone, artists won't be able to afford to continue creating art.

Carnage in Chroma

Carnage in Chroma

As I set out to create this piece, I envisioned a silent narrative that unfolded in the heart of an intense scene. Here, the character of Wolverine emerges not just as a figure from a story, but as an embodiment of raw energy and resolve. I wanted to capture that singular moment where all the complexity of his character converges into the action of unleashing his claws.

The palette I chose is one of vibrant intensity. The yellows and oranges are as alive and pulsating as the character's own heartbeat. I saw these warm colors as the visual echo of Wolverine's indomitable spirit. Contrasting them with the cooler blues and purples, I aimed to create a visual symphony that resonates with the energy of the moment.

In crafting the image, my strokes were intentional, aimed at bringing forth the sense of movement and a texture that mirrors the ferocity of Wolverine's world. I focused particularly on the hands, which are a central element due to Wolverine's iconic claws. My aim was to capture the essence of his power, the weight of the adamantium that is both his weapon and burden.

The background, a maelstrom of color, was designed to frame the character, highlighting him against the chaos that he both confronts and embodies. It was important to me that the figure did not get lost in the abstraction, but rather stood out, commanding the space around him.

Pearl Linen Postcard - This 3.5"x5" postcard is printed on linen, creating a almost canvas appearance. Between the linen weaves are pearlescent clusters, which increase the contrast of the art.

Holographic Poster - Printed on 8.5"x11" heavy duty card stock, these posters are dipped in holographic foil prior to printing. This enhances all of the darker tones in each painting (especially the line art), bringing subtle shards of iridescent colors when hit with direct light.
