Boy With Courage

In “Boy With Courage”, I wanted to encapsulate a defining moment of Tai Kamiya’s journey. My canvas becomes the stage for Tai, standing with determination and resolve. I painted him upright, with a sense of purpose, as if he’s ready to face whatever comes his way.

I chose to accentuate his raised fist, representing his unyielding spirit and the adventures he’s poised to embark upon. The polo he’s clad in harks back to his early days in the digital world, a subtle nod to the beginnings of his epic tale.

My palette consisted of gentle pastels, but I employed bolder strokes when it came to defining Tai, ensuring he stood out prominently. I took special care with his eyes, wanting them to convey depth and the weight of leadership he’s set to undertake.

Through “Boy With Courage”, I aimed to celebrate the essence of youth, valor, and the thrill of discovery. In portraying Tai Kamiya, I hope to evoke the spirit of venturing into the unknown, driven by heart and courage.

Pearl Linen Postcard - This 3.5"x5" postcard is printed on linen, creating a almost canvas appearance. Between the linen weaves are pearlescent clusters, which increase the contrast of the art.

Holographic Poster - Printed on 8.5"x11" heavy duty card stock, these posters are dipped in holographic foil prior to printing. This enhances all of the darker tones in each painting (especially the line art), bringing subtle shards of iridescent colors when hit with direct light.
