• When art is downloaded and printed without compensation to the artist, it significantly impacts the artist's ability to make a living as a creator.

We can try, but we can't stop anyone from doing this if they really wanted to.

It's important to really think about what this means - if it becomes a normal practice for everyone, artists won't be able to afford to continue creating art.

Beach Date

Beach Date

In “Beach Date,” I aimed to encapsulate a moment of tranquility and significance between Sora and Riku from Kingdom Hearts, as they meander along the Destiny Island beach. Their different attire suggests this scene could be set after the events of the third Kingdom Hearts, possibly after Riku locates Sora. The palette is dominated by warm oranges and purples, representing the setting sun and the impending twilight, colors that are beautifully reflected in the water.

This piece is an attempt to depict a peaceful moment shared between two friends who have faced numerous challenges. It is an exploration of their journey, both physical and emotional, and is a tribute to the resilience of friendship and the peace that can be found after overcoming adversity.

Using the impressionist style, with its characteristic loose brushwork and focus on light and color, seemed an appropriate choice to convey the transient nature of the moment and the sense of hope and renewal it symbolizes. Painting Sora and Riku in a familiar setting, yet with a sense of completion and new beginnings, was an effort to understand the characters and the world they inhabit more deeply.
