"Amber Aviator Over Sienna Skies" is a digital painting that emerged from a quiet contemplation of freedom and the serene beauty of nature (Aside from a requirement to complete my goal of painting the Pokedex). As I painted, I envisioned myself as the Pidgeotto, gliding effortlessly over the canyon at dusk, embraced by the warmth of the setting sun. The hues of amber and sienna that color the skies are reminiscent of a peaceful evening, inviting the viewer into a tranquil world.

I focused on the precision of Pidgeotto's feathers, each stroke deliberate, aiming to capture the essence of its majestic form. The light shines across their wings, creating a dance of shadows. I wanted them to be the focus of the composition, a guide through the vast expanse of the canyon.

I focused to the play of light in this piece, allowing it to naturally illuminate the scene and bring a soft glow to the landscape. As in most of my paintings, I chose to let the digital brush strokes show, intending to infuse the modern medium with a sense of tradition. This technique is a nod to the timeless artistry of painting, an art form that has always inspired me. It is a key component of my style of "Collaborative Impressionism". 

The creation of "Amber Aviator Over Sienna Skies" was a journey in itself (I was on a train traveling through the heart of the Rockies while painting this!), one that allowed me to explore the interplay between light and texture, and the silent narrative of a single moment captured in flight. It's an intimate reflection of the quiet splendor that exists in the world around us, a world I'm continually grateful to have the opportunity to explore through my art.
